I just read a brief history of our little city.
A small saw mill town on Buffalo Lake and Buffalo River since about 1870 when they put the saw mill in about nine miles north of here where I now live in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
They had to haul the saw mill from the nearest train station in Benson, MN 160 miles south of here by horse drawn wagon.
A flour mill was put in four years later in about 1874.
The trees cut and logged and sawed into lumber and plows put in the ground and wheat grown.
This is what occurred all across America..
That's how we got to where we are at today.
Never once knowing.
The wheat crop from just one small horse plowed farm could profit in a good year enough to build a house.
Wheat and milk and juice and honey built America and put us on the moon along with sugar and alcohol and caffeine..
Wheat is taking us to World War III..
Somebody tell me that this isn't a discovery of a magnitude beyond belief and of an unheard of meaning..
