I took one of my 5# tubes of 73/27 Walmart Hamburger out of the freezer and put it in my refrigerator yesterday morning.
Then this morning with it still hard but not rock hard although it felt like it, I cut it in half and put half back in the refrigerator wrapped in a plastic grocery bag pretty tightly.
I cut away the wrap on the other half and it was just the right size to fit in my crock pot.
I sprinkled it with salt and black pepper and garlic powder and set it on high and put the lid on.
I started smelling it in about an hour.
About an hour after that I went and looked at it.
I couldn't tell how done it was so I cut into it.
It had made about a quarter of an inch of water and grease on the bottom of the crockpot and was simmering small tiny bubbles all around the edges.
I chopped into it with my spatula and it was all the way thawed and partially cooked but still red on the inside.
I chopped it all up and stirred it well and then put the lid back on.
I waited about fifteen minutes and went in and looked at it and it was simmering nicely.
That slow low simmer.
I waited about another half hour and took the lid off and it was all the way cooked and with lots of juice and smelled and looked terrific.
I stirred it again and it was perfect.
I then cracked six jumbo eggs over the top of it without stirring or doing anything.
I sprinkled a little salt on them and this time some fresh ground black pepper from my pepper mill and some parsley flakes.
I can't remember but I don't think I added any more garlic powder.
I put the lid back on.
I looked at it about fifteen minutes later and it was cooking nicely again and starting to turn white and the yolks turning a cooked yellow but it needed more time.
I left the lid still on and waited fifteen more minutes.
It was perfectly done when I came back but not over done,
The eggs just right.
I stirred the whole thing up and it ended up like some kind of a hot dish.
I am just now finishing the eating of the whole thing.
I got every drop of fat and juice and it is wonderful.
New York Restaurant wonderful.
Seasoned just right and delicious.
I'm eating it right out of the crock pot at my computer and am about to finish the whole thing.
Nice cold water to drink out of my jug.
Walmart Spring Water
$.88 cents a gallon.
About three pounds.
I'm filled to the top and enjoyed it immensely.
No hunger now until tomorrow and I won't really be hungry then but I will cook and eat anyway.
It will again taste great and be good for me.
Losing weight and perfect for my health.
I could hardly eat it all.
I had to force down the last couple of bites.
Time for a nap.
Going skiing a little later this evening.
Outdoor campfire in a big fire pit with boulders all around,
The night sky and the lights.
A wonderful clubhouse and warming house.
Chair lifts for the experienced.
Rope and ramp tows for we amateurs and little children and learners.
Tubing for those who choose.
Hundreds of people all around.
Everybody having a great time.
I Love it!
