Horse sense some would call it.
Another Bunnell first.
Losing weight by turning down your heat or thermostat in your home, or using fewer blankets and wearing lighter clothing while in your house or workplace or at bedtime.
Indoors and outdoors, but mostly indoors.
Not being cold but putting your body into it's heating mode to burn more calories, keeping you warm rather than burning fewer calories because your so blanketed or clothed so warmly or in such a warm house and environment.
Say forty or fifty degrees at night in your house rather than sixty or seventy degrees.
Or simply fewer blankets at the same temps you have now.
Say just a light blanket or sheet or no pajamas.
I have never heard this said or spoken before.
You will tuck right in and your bodies furnace will turn itself on to high heat in order keep you warm.
Additionally, eating less food burns more fat in the cold.
The same thing.
To keep you warm.
Win, win.
I'm losing weight and crowing about it and showing you how to do it too.
Cattle and farm animals and zoo's and homeowners with pets all know that you need to make sure all your animals have plenty of food and water and bedding to keep them warm and protected from the elements.
Particularly in the extreme cold weather like we have here in Minnesota.
Below freezing.
Constantly.
Months at a time.
My being in a weight loss battle for something over forty years now has me in a very keen mode as far as weight loss strategies go.
I have been fighting hard these last thirty years.
These last eight or nine years with this Atkins Diet you see here.
Atkins 1972 it's called.
His beginning phase where you reduce carbohydrates to an extremely low threshold in order to get your weight loss started.
Induction phase they call it.
Many of us stay here permanently.
That's how my discovery came into being.
Researching obsessive sugar and carbohydrate addiction on my computer.
The world wide web, WWW Internet, Goggle.
The mental aspects in this became my personal discovery.
The effects on our Psyche.
And then how our Psyche effects our bodies and actions.
Everything we see and think and do.
Not a living soul had touched on this prior to myself.
Everything related to obesity and weight loss and diabetes, heart disease, etc.
..Getting back to the heat and cold for fat burning and losing weight.
Deliberately putting our bodies fat burning furnace on and turning it up.
Your body wants to be 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit at all times.
Internally.
Head to toe.
Heat goes out our head they say so wearing a warm hat in the cold is really important.
Our feet and hands with less fat and meat on them means less insulation, so we need to tend to keeping these warm.
Then the rest of our body.
We got to breathe and hear and see, so we need openings which are warm air escapes.
I turn my heat down to forty degrees or off at night.
I stay warm in my down sleeping bags and comforter.
My internal furnace cooking me.
Keeping me warm.
The goose down trapping and holding my body heat.
Keeping me warm.
I learned this in my truck sleeper while conserving fuel by turning off the motor at night in below freezing temperatures.
It costs up to $40 or $50 a day to high idle your trucks engine for up to twelve hours while parked for the night or waiting for your load.
$1,200 or $1,500 a month in fuel savings without going anywhere.
30 days.
Without trying to brag to much or say I told you so..
I see where everybody is catching up, mostly this year 2014 but the below is from 2011, about when I first made this discovery myself and started posting it.
I'm sure I'm not a first in this, it probably goes back a hundred years.
My giant discovery is mine and mine alone, I am the first discoverer ever and without a doubt.
As amazingly simple as it is.
Beyond belief.
My Nobel Prize
Winning Work,
About six of them..
It happens that there worth about a million dollars each but I'm not in it for the money.
