My neighbor friend is doing the ground work for the trailer on my land.
The mover will level and anchor it down for storm protection.
My friend is helping me with everything I am doing.
Water well and sewer and electricity, ground work, repairs, skirting, etc etc.
He is also going to put on a porch and deck and fix up and move my storage sheds and build a garage and "bunkhouse" for me.
He said he would help me the whole way for free because I helped him build his log house years ago, one whole summer.
He lived on a lake too.
I told him it was just fun but he wants to do it anyway.
Timing couldn't be more perfect.
I would never have been able to do all this with hired labor.
He is saving me a lot of money on parts and building materials too.
He's one of these guys who knows everybody and can do anything.
A really great guy and his young daughter is helping him too.
She is just bubbly and great fun to be around.
This first place will be for my granddaughter Babo.
It's a nice clean late model trailer with nothing but appliances and carpeting in it.
Wood paneling on the walls.
She want to redo everything.
I told her she can do anything she wants and I will pay for it.
She wanted all new stuff.
I told her I couldn't afford that but good used stuff and a few new things I could afford.
That other stuff is for rich people.
I don't mind not being rich.
I always say, "the poor are rich" and "the rich are poor".
And I mean it.
We get to scratch out our existence and appreciate everything.
Even just being alive.
They have everything and "want" for nothing.
They spend a lot of time "appreciating" and "enjoying" what they have.
And working.
Romney said in an interview yesterday that we all look up to them and admire what they have and that we aspire to be like them and have all these possessions and whatnot and how great it is to live in a country where all of this is possible and we can accomplish all this too.
