I'm a father and grandfather and great grandfather and a great great grandfather.
I'm a war orphan from World War Two.
Born in 1945 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Hazel Dodd Bunnell and Tom Bunnell
Both of which were born here.
My dad in 1918 and my mother in 1921.
My moms family came here by horse and wagon.
My mother was born in that covered wagon as they arrived here.
They had migrated from Iowa.
My dads folks had migrated here from Nebraska
I enlisted in the army in 1963 and mustered in for uniforms and medical to go to Fort Ord California for boot camp.
We all got everything going about sixty of us when the sergeant came out and told us we would have to all go home and wait for recalls as Ford Ord had inadvertently been double booked by somebody.
So we all went home.
This was in Seattle in 1963 or 1964.
I had signed up for the draft.
Several months later when I got my recall I sent them a letter asking to withdraw my signing up for the draft and was now living and working in Portland, Oregon with my wife and baby daughter.
They mailed back that my withdrawal was excepted and I was now IIIA again.
I would have ended up in Viet Nam but quite by accident missed going by a hair.
I didn't even know the war with Viet Nam was going on.
It was full blown a few years later.
Some of my friends had been to Korea and some Viet Nam.
That's when marijuana came to America.
My friend from school came home from Viet Nam with hashish and marijuana in his duffel bag.
I tried it and then my wife and we unknowing joined the counter culture of hippies and flower children so famous from the sixties.
I could see from early on that it was just dope that messed with your mind.
We remained in the culture for about ten years.
It destroyed my family and destroyed my life and that of my wife and children.
Marijuana is a rotten horrible deadly drug.
My vast experience has allowed me to make my discovery.
I had a pig that I raised for piglets and showing in 4-H when I was in grade school and Junior High School.
She was a Palouse.
A highbred from a Chester White and a Land Race.
She had the big hams of the Chester White and the extra rib for bacon from the Land Race.
Duroc was another breed bred for it's characteristics.
High Breeding plant life and the resulting farming and agriculture and marketing and shipping and profit making and the resulting addictions are a big part of my discovery.
I could see through religion from a young age on.
