I'm sure the people in the industry would know from which ocean.
I'm not sure of all the migrations that take place.
Two to eight years to cycle to the creek or river they were born in, I know that.
A two to eight year cycle from birth until death.
They spawn and die where they were born.
Migrating the worlds oceans in between.
The one I'm having for breakfast, along with six jumbo fried eggs is about a five pounder I would say.
No doubt caught and processed on a processing ship near where the salmon are caught or possibly the processing vessel catching them themselves.
I'm not sure about that.
I got mine at our local grocery store on sale for $5 each.
Flash frozen while at sea I am sure.
One half of a wild caught salmon
24 ounces of meat
Head and tail removed.
Pure meat and skin.
I eat the skin and all.
Pan fried on my gas stovetop on my open griddle with half inch only sides.
Pan fried in the grease leftover from yesterdays 2 1/2# of hamburger.
That's two and a half pounds and six eggs.
$6.50 for that meal.
$6 today with the eggs.
Zero seasonings or salt.
About thirty days running now.
Our local fish run about double or triple that.
Supply and demand.
Wild caught flounder is cheaper still.
Another great ocean fish.
Two pounds for $6.
Being hungry and eating a large good meal is the secret to this diet.
One meal a day and nothing else ever.
Full to the top and tastes great.
Cooked in grease.
Zero, salt or seasonings.
Water to drink.
Nothing else for the day or any day.
If my past years of unhealthy eating don't kill me I will live to be a hundred.
My heart gives me a mild but slightly sharp pain every now and then.
Comes and goes.
Nothing for months at a time and then returns for some days or weeks.
Not enough for me to seek doctoring.
My doc from India says it's nothing.
Me living or dying means nothing to him.
I'm going to get a new doctor.
We got to really watch out for doctors advice though.
They would have me on three or four meds.
I am on none except for my pissing thyroid pill.
Probably the worst one of them all.
Mayo treated my over active thyroid years ago called Graves Disease named after it's discoverer.
They gave me a radiation treatment that was supposed to kill my thyroid.
In one in a thousand treatments it kills the over active part and the rest remains living instead of totally drying up like a prune.
I am that one in a thousand.
Taking out the over active part.
With Graves I was weak as a kitten and lost over a hundred pounds.
I would have had a heart attack and died but we caught it.
I had went to give blood, actually to sell blood because I was penniless and trying to make it home and hungry and without cigarettes.
They routinely listened to my heart first and discovered my wildly irregular and fast heartbeat.
They wouldn't take my blood and sent me to the hospital.
They gave me intravenous digitalis and told me to go in to the doctor immediately when I got home.
I had told them I was riding a train to my home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
I was in Spokane, Washington.
Sleeping under a bridge.
I didn't tell them it was a freight train I was riding.
I made it to Montana but couldn't go any further.
They called Becker County Detroit Lakes Social Services and they provided me with a bus ticket home and a meal.
I came in to the doctor here and the doctor just prescribed more digitalis and sent me home.
An asshole piece of shit.
They treat you like shit if you are a welfare case.
I had an appointment already with an internal medicine specialist.
He treated me like shit too but pre diagnosed an over active thyroid as a possibility and sent me to Fargo, North Dakota for further testing.
I went to Mayo Clinic on my own after that.
Mayo nailed Graves immediately and gave me three choices.
They could try to manage it with prescription medicine or surgically remove my thyroid or I could take a Radioactive Iodine Treatment.
I took their advice and did the Radiation treatment that was supposed to kill my thyroid gland and I would take replacement hormone the rest of my life.
Explained that one in a thousand for some reason it would just kill the over active part of the thyroid and thereafter I may or may not need hormone replacement therapy.
I was that one in a thousand.
I didn't take anything for six months or a year and felt fine and regained my lost weight and was no longer weak or with heart symptoms.
After about a year they put me on 100 mcg Levothyroid treating me for obesity and depression.
I quit taking it one time for a long period of time with no problems.
I'm tempted to do that now again and have been for a long long time but it's russian roulette and I'm not real excited about that so I keep taking it.
The Mayo doctor said it was so mild he could take it with no problem and he has nothing wrong with his thyroid gland.
Problem being that even Mayo doesn't see the problem with this drug.
A Mayo Founding Doctor was imminent in discovering the thyroid gland and it's problems.
So Mayo is about the best there is.
It happens that thyroid elevation is the most widespread and mis prescribed medicine in the world today.
Destroying countless lives.
A mis diagnosis of sugar and hybrid carbohydrate addiction.
Along with caffeine and alcohol and nicotine.
Rampant globally and destroying billions of lives and nobody knows it.
They think it's the thyroid.
